REFLECTION
Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to perceive, understand, manage, and use emotions. According to the result of this test, I am rather skilled at perceiving (recognizing emotions in faces, music, and stories) emotions even though I could still improve. I think I am good at perceiving emotions in faces and stories but sometimes, I do not understand all the emotions associated with certain songs. I can also understand emotions (predict them and how they change) to a certain extent; when specific sentiments are more obvious, it is easy to predict and relate to them. However, for those situations in which only hints of feelings are left without explicit displays of them, it would be more difficult for me to truly understand them. One of my strengths is probably managing emotions because I know how to express them in different situations. I can suppress my anger whenever I am upset. I generally have stable emotions without sharp mood swings. Yet, perhaps I should be more open with how I feel to people. By being more aware of my feelings and expressing them, I can enable adaptive and creative thinking based on emotions. I am probably weak at using emotions to encourage creative thinking but I believe that further education and efforts for self-improvement can maybe change this.
