REFLECTION
The multiple intelligences test, which was initially developed by Howard Gardner, focused on eight different intelligences instead of viewing general intelligence as the only form of intelligence. He viewed intelligence as multiple abilities that come in packages. Yet, general intelligence scores predict performance on various tasks. From looking at the graph above, I can conclude that I am proficient in linguistic, logical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and visual/spatial intelligences while I lack high musical, naturalistic, and kinesthetic intelligences. I generally agree with the strengths and weaknesses of my results because I am usually weak at music, sports (learning through body movements), and naturalistic intelligence. In order to achieve a good result in music or kinesthetic activities, I have to really strive to do well. I am also not very talented in naturalistic intelligence, meaning that I cannot detect and study nature in depth; in fact, subjects such as biology and ecology do not interest me very much. However, learning and using languages is enjoyable and unchallenging for me in most of the cases. Since I scored high on interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences, I can also tell that I am self-aware of my strengths, weaknesses, and motivations (intrapersonal). Furthermore, I can communicate well, solve conflicts, and develop positive relationships (interpersonal). I actually like the format of the results of this test because unlike other tests which simply give me a number that is supposed to define my intelligence, this test shows the specific areas that I am strong or weak at.
